No More Blues (Chega de Saudade) by Joe Henderson

Joe Henderson shall be missed by many of us. This album is simply pure joy. Herbie Hancocks'splashing of cords and tones is something to marvel. The piano and tenor saxophone reminds me of the African call and response. This CD is jazz/Brazilizian at it's best. The musicians are really inspired on this sessions, very exuberant and soulful. And the harmonies are right in place. Such dynamic playing. This harmonic sophistication that's still emerging from the blues. And doing it gracefully, swinging and intense. Joe Henderson's music will live forever!
