A fine CD of contemporary jazz compositions filled with great beauty and experimentation! These jazz musicians know what they are doing and they readily share it with the jazz listeners, making this a delightful experience! There are seven selections on this CD, and every one is unique, and original. These selections are composed by either Levy or Valentine. "Nat's Good Blues" and "Jump Start" definitely deserve air time on the jazz stations, and for pure feeling of a good jazz mood, take a careful listen to "Rencontre" (Pres de toi), and "Come This Way."

You won't be disappointed with this little gem of perfection, performed in classic contemporary jazz expression with every note a special sound from the individual performers. Give a close listen, too, to the piano work of John Ranney. Ranney, like his fellow performers, is very, very good on this CD. Each musician is excellent in each selection, and this is one CD you will want in your home library to play often.
