This is clearly a case of "love at first listen". Norwegian bassist, Ole Amund Gjersvik, has delivered a really smooth session including some original compositions. He also added some tunes by Luis Bonfa and Charlie Haden. Personnel are: Ole Amund Gjersvik - bass; Jan Kåre Hystad - saxes and flute; Morten Færestrand - guitars; Stein Inge Brækhus - drums and percussion; Tone Lise Moberg is guest vocalist and proves her worth on Gentle Rain, the single track where she appears. Milonga Triste would be a good choice for fans of smooth, quiet jazz, tastefully performed by a most professional quartet.
