Zonda is one of those little gems of perfect music that oftentimes slips by unnoticed! Hopefully, this one will be notice by many jazz fans! Guitarists/composers, Hernan Romero & Tony Viscardo, perform some beautiful original compositions on this 56:39 minute CD of 12 selections. They even do an original and highly effective presentation of the old folk song, "El Condor Pasa." Actually, this is a special CD that can be played over and over again and something new discovered each time it is listened to! In addition to Romero and Viscardo, Conosur also has the following guest musicians: Manolo Badrena, Chris Meyers, Raul Jaurena, Mario Rodriguez, John Albanese. I was hard pressed to decide which of the songs I enjoyed the most, for each one is a complex jazz piece, and each one is remarkably unique. Some of the song titles include "Riding the Waves," "Mas," "Little Dreamer," "Zonda," "Poesis," "Ven." A great gift for anytime for anybody, anywhere, anyplace!
