Another World by Dena DeRose

Beautiful voice, gifted pianist: That is how I would define jazz vocalist, Dena DeRose. Her collection of 10 selections in the CD titled ANOTHER WORLD is outstanding!

Joined with a fine group of musicians, Dena DeRose shines with memorable stylings of "You Don't Know What Love Is," a very emotional and satisfying version of the classic "In The Wee Small Hours," one of the best versions of "More Than You Know" recorded in the past ten years, "Hi-Fly," "You've Changed." "Spring is Here," "Don't Go," "Whisper Not," "Another World," and "Beautiful Friendship." There is plenty here to satisfy any jazz listener's tastes, and each song is a sweet treasure for enjoyment! Ingrid Jensen does some memorable solo work on trumpet and flugelhorn, as does Steve Davis on trombone. Every artist on this CD is an artist in the true sense of the word!

Dena DeRose is a fine stylist, both as singer and pianist. ANOTHER WORLD is classy jazzy vocals for playing anytime and anywhere! ANOTHER WORLD is a winner and so is Dena DeRose! Excellent!!!!
