Keeping Cool features the irresistible combo of Joyce Cooling on guitar and Jay Wagner on keys. It's appropriately titled, too: this is one very laid-back CD, from the first notes of the mid-tempo "Callie". The style varies throughout, from the acoustic work of "Out Of A Movie" and "Gliding By" to the very funky "Simple Kind Of Love" (which features some great scatting to boot). "Little Five Points" is the most expressive track, with some great riffs. I found myself wishing the CD was longer, but I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe you will too.
