Brenda Conti's first jazz CD release, "Catharsis," is an enjoyable journey. Conti is a singer as well as the writer of the music & lyrics. She has a sweet, soft jazzy voice.

The charm of this first release is in the voice, and the poetry of the lyrics Conti shares with the listeners. There are 10 selections on "Catharsis," and each one has a distinctly original sound. I found each selection beautifully performed, and pianist Bill Mocarsky's contributions are excellent.

Brenda Conti gives an exceptional performance, and the listeners can hope that her next CD release will be as satisfying and accomplished as this one is. Brenda Conti has talent, and "Catharsis" highlights her excellent singing voice, and original jazz compositions. "My Friend," "Dance of Joy," "Meant To Be," "Sharing," are some of the many excellent songs to be discovered on this excellent CD by Brenda Conti. Refreshingly different and original, that is what Brenda Conti's "Catharsis" is!!!!
