Got Groove? by Vas Deferens

For some lively contemporary jazz, try the new group called Vas Deferens, it may just be your bag! Their new CD release, GOT GROOVE?, is a collection of 5 long pieces, each one an invigorating experience. Selections include: "Leave It Alone," Crazy Legs," "Save Them Dramma Fo' Yo' Mamma," "Butterfly Lips," and "Between Bop and a Hard Place (Live)." Jimmy Prav put this collection together and it works well for sheer entertainment with its sounds and jazz motifs.

Vas Deferens has a blast in this jazzy, lively collection, and they share it with the listening audience. Sharp, to the point, a nice blending of genres to produce an unusual contemporary jazz outing. The solo work on GOT GROOVE? is exceptional. "Butterfly Lips" is a jazz listening treat.
