A Different Vibe by Kathy Kelly

What I find most attractive about A DIFFERENT VIBE is the musicians sense of sharing with the listening audience, and succeeding well at it. This is a spunky, lively, feel-good collection of original songs by Kathy Kelly, and it is something you can play any time and receive enjoyment from listening to it!

Kathy Kelly is very, very good on her solo vibes performances, and if you enjoy vibes, you will more than likely enjoy the 12 selections on this fine collection. Songs include "calling eddie harris," "dancing bears," "k.c. & samba," "man with the hat," "letting go," "diana's raindance," "message from the ancestors," "who is that woman," "mbria," "gary's good advice," "damba d," "no place for peace." John McLean turns in some fine work on guitars as does Dan DeLorenz with his bass and percussion, and Jim Widlowski on drums and percussion.

Congratulations to Kathy Kelly for a great collection of new and highly original vibes songs, and the attitude of sharing that goes with them. Kathy Kelly is definitely a different vibe and A DIFFERENT VIBE is a winner. Excellent.
