The Roberta Piket Trio, featuring Roberta Piket on piano, Masa Kamaguchi on bass, and Jeff Williams on drums, bring to the jazz listeners a nice collection of jazz sounds in their 9 song CD titled SPEAK, MEMORY. There is a bright and lively expression found throughout the CD, and it will be a pleaser for listeners! Piket composes, and adds four of her own innovative songs to the collection, "Too Sensible," the complex and enjoyable "Gone," "Hands," and "Speak, Memory." Other well-performed songs include Harold Arlen's "The Man Who Got Away," Harold Arlen's "When The Sun Comes Out," Kurt Weill's "Lost In The Stars," Jimmy Webb's "Up, Up and Away," and the lovely Johnny Mandel song, "A Time For Love." Roberta Piket and her trio do an excellent job on this CD. SPEAK, MEMORY will delight a lot of jazz listeners when they discover the unique stylings of the Roberta Piket Trio!
