Such smooth jazz as created by the sound of Marion Meadows on his soprano saxophone in his latest release, NEXT TO YOU, is sure to please everybody. In this 11 selection CD, Marion Meadows introduces his listeners to his Latin and Brazilian motifs that add flavor and sweet spice to his already established jazz sounds!

Among the selections, these stand out immediately: "Miami," "Blue Cactus," "Look Inside," "Any Time Any Place," "La Samba," among others. The jazz listener is in for a pleasant surprise when this collection is played, for each piece has a distinct feel, a distinct emotion, and a distinct melody.

Marion Meadows started playing music at age eight, and has developed a natural affinity for jazz performances over the years with the soprano saxophone, among which he is one of soprano saxophone's finest contemporary interpreters. A selection that fully displays the richly textured gifts of Marion Meadows on soprano saxophone can be found on the selection "Look Inside," written and produced by Meadows. "Look Inside" deserves airplay time as do many of these fine selections.

If you are new to the sound of Marion Meadows, this CD would be an excellent introduction to a fine instrumentalist. NEXT TO YOU is Marion Meadows at his best! An excellent collection. Excellent production values.
