Cuban Jazz Funk by Miquel Romero

Pianist-composer Miquel Romero hits pay dirt with his winner, CUBAN JAZZ FUNK, a new release that is sure to ignite a lot of fan following for this spicy blend of jazz! Everything about this CD is alive with good vibrations!

Miquel Romero has a piano sound that is uniquely all his own. Romero studied music at Lehman College and graduated with a BA in Music Composition. His musical compositions are layered with wonderful jazz motifs and stylistic approaches, further realized with the input of Larry Jackson on saxophone and flute, Count Mbutu on congas and percussion, Kurt Mitchell on bass, Tad Gulley on drums, Hassan Oritz on bongos and batas, and Anthony Papa Michael on guitar for track 5. Miguel Romero also add percussion, and he has studied at the Jazz Mobile with Max Roach, among others.

The songs include "Descarga Palmieri," "Sunrise," "Zorro's Rollercoaster," "In The Moment," "Citizen of the World," "Sieston," and "Meditation." Each song is uniquely Cuban in flavor!
