Cinemagique by John Wolf Brennan and Pago Libre

CINEMAGIQUE is an interesting, unique adventure in free jazz and allows Pago Libre to create some enterprising and unusual jazz songs. It contains 15 songs with a playing time of approximately 58:13 minutes.

With John Wolf Brennan leading on piano, the group mixes and creates other worldly visions into coherent jazz motifs that change with each song performed. Examples are "Folk Song," "Little Big Horn," "Nostalghia," and the highly enjoyable selection written by Brennan titled "Suonatina." Brennan contributes many compositions to CINEMAGIQUE.

John Wolf Brennan continues to be an innovator in free jazz, and a creator of eclectic music for jazz audiences worldwide. Born in Dublin, Ireland, he now lives in Switzerland. His many outstanding CD collections where he is both composer and performer include MOMENTUM 2, PIPELINES, SHOOTING STARS & TRAFFIC LIGHTS, among many others.

Pago Libre and CINEMAGIQUE go well together, and this is another in a long line of excellent free jazz collections from the gifted John Wolf Brennan. New listeners to Brennan will find this exciting free jazz, and free jazz fans will love it!
