RETURN OF THE HYDRA features 9-string guitar master Michael Coppola with his trio in an entertaining collection of 9 songs. Total playing time is 62:36 minutes.

Songs include "They Say It's Wonderful," "Baltimore Oriole," "Stars Fell On Alabama," Bud Powell's great jazz composition titled "Parisian Thoroughtfare," among others. "Stars Fell On Alabama" is a solo guitar selection, and it is a classic rendition by a classic jazz guitarist! Coppola does some fancy string work on his own composition, "Superfoot."

Michael Nunno on electric bass and Kurt Berglund on drums turn in some very nice performances, flawless in approach and enjoyable. The musicianship on this collection is memorable.

If you like Michael Coppola and 9-string guitar, you will find RETURN OF THE HYDRA a fine listening experience. Jazz guitar music at its finest.
