Concord Records and the jazz listening audience have felt the jazz presence in Barry Manilow's musical career for a long time, and now comes the memorable collection of jazz vocals in the CD collection titled HERE AT THE MAYFLOWER. Barry Manilow sings jazz vocals with sensitivity and verve, his fresh approaches always an enjoyable outing for the listening audience. HERE AT THE MAYFLOWER showcases the jazz vocals of Manilow in a new collection of original material composed, produced, and arranged by Barry Manilow. Manilow is an active member of the National Academy of Jazz Board of Governors.

Conceived as a whole work utilizing what the hotel apartments might symbolize in the legendary Mayflower Hotel, each song stands uniquely on its own. There are 16 songs in the collection. Each song is composer Manilow at his finest and includes such songs as "Come Monday," "I Hear Her Playing Music," "Talk To Me," "Some Bar By The Harbor," "Say Goodbye," "The Night That Tito Played," "I Miss You," "Welcome Home," among others.

Manilow's voice had been described over the decades, and with HERE AT THE MAYFLOWER, the jazz and blues touch is beautifully expressed and realized. For jazz lovers of excellent jazz vocals, Barry Manilow's HERE AT THE MAYFLOWER will enchant and entertain.

HERE AT THE MAYFLOWER is Manilow's 31st release. In 2001, "Could It Be Magic? - The Barry Manilow Songbook" opened on Broadway, ad his musical "Harmony" (a musical based on the true story of The Comedian Harmonists which was a singing group of six young men trying to find harmony through music during the horrific times leading to the rise of Nazi Germany) is currently going to Broadway.
