I am somewhat of a new fan of jazz music and have stumbled upon a real treasure. A friend of mine recommended a new jazz recording by singer Beverley Staunton called Here's To You. I logged on to cdbaby.com and bought myself a copy and have been blown away. In all the info I've read about Beverley and this being her debut, well, I don't want to believe it. How could this be her first recording? Her sound is very polished, it has a unique pop styling and the packaging is very cool and unlike many jazz CDs I have found. I'll also add that this CD is more interesting and beautiful than the new Diana Krall CD. I am now Beverley Staunton's biggest fan!!! Her voice is one of the most beautiful jazz voices I have ever heard. And her voice is delivered with such grace from her beautiful face. Sexy and angelic, Beverley Staunton is sure to be in everyone's CD collection in the not too distant future.

Ok, so I'm not the most eloquent reviewer you've ever read, but I know good music when I hear it. Every song is captivating and carries such warmth and depth. It's hard to believe Beverley is such a young woman. Listening to her voice you would imagine her to be a seasoned, older woman delivering lines reminiscient of her past experiences. Perhaps then, Beverley is an old soul spreading the word through her God given talents... an amazing voice. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this exciting new performer.

My recommendation...? Get your copy of Beverley Staunton's CD entitled Here's To You... TODAY!
