I listened to Ann Hampton Callaway sing and got a good feeling, encountering an artist who could sing word images with total honestly of feeling. Her vocal stylings are pleasant, jazzy, and sensitive.

There are 12 songs on this CD collection. Some of the songs are "Tenderly," "Route 66," "The Best Is Yet To Come," "For All We Know," a standout classic rendition of a Frank Sinatra song "In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning," a moody and bluesy gem of a take on "Is That All There Is?," "Good Morning Heartache," among others.

These are classic songs, sung with deep feeling and a sense of jazz styling that is a welcome treat in the field of newcomers to jazz vocals. Ann Hampton Callaway is here to stay, and what a delight it is to hear her sing! A topnotch collection!
