MERRY COOL CHRISTMAS is a fine collection of holiday standards with much entertainment value and is sure to please the jazz listening audience. Alex Leonard shares one of his creative compositions, "Under A Blue Christmas Tree," which gives additional meaning to the phrase MERRY COOL CHRISTMAS. There are 17 songs on the collection. Among the many songs are found such standards as "Silent Night," "Carol of the Bells," "What Child Is This?," "Little Drummer Boy," "The Holly and the Ivy," and "Auld Lang Syne." For those interested in a jazzy, enjoyable Christmas collection, this CD is tops. Leonard is good on piano and vocals, and this collection is entertaining!
