AUGUST is an exceptional entry in the smooth jazz category, featuring the very fine performances of Andrew Scott and Jim Clayton. Original compositions add to the sweet flavor of this collection. There are 10 selections on the CD. Among the songs are "Black Horse," "Santa Ana," "Just To See Her," "August," "I Love Music," and "Huron." AUGUST is topnotch performances from beginning to end. AUGUST will attract a wide following for this excellent group from Canada. The Clayton/Scott Group is a welcome addition to the category of smooth jazz, blessed with solid, imaginative performances that entertain. This is their debut CD, and it is a firstclass effort, and a winner in all aspects.
