Contemporary jazz with strong improvisational themes make TERRAFERMA a must-have for jazz listeners who like improvisational jazz. The performances are crisp and the trumpet work of Kyle Gregory shines on each song alongside that of saxophonist Alberto Pinton. The musicians are topnotch. Clear Now is a group that gives solid, entertaining performances. There are 14 songs on the CD collection. Among them are "Marching Man," "Untitled," "Stoneface," "Variation on a Ballad Theme," "Calm," Paradox," and "One of a Kind." "Fast Forward" is an eclectic piece that will find many listeners. For something different utilizing an improvisational approach to contemporary jazz, give a listen to TERRAFERMA. Entertaining!
