Blessed with a fine touch of straight-ahead/classic, NIGHT SHADOWS is a remarkable debut CD. After listening to this fine collection of original compositions by Richard J. Frank and Ronnie Kaufman, I feel they will go on to make a memorable place in contemporary jazz music with their intricate sounds and complex harmonic creations.

There are 12 songs in the collection. Among them are "The Approach," "Night Shadows," "The Ride," "Dia Del Sol," "Cracker," "Nightfall," "Outhouse," and "Sweet & Simple." These musicians know how to play, and their sound is well-crafted and enjoyable listening all the way.

Mike Telesmanick is one of the finest pianists to come along in smooth jazz, and his fellow musicians are equally topnotch. "Night Shadows" is a winning song, and it showcases the talents of the players.
