This is definitely one of the finest world music jazz collections to come along this year. With topnotch performances from all concerned, there is a perfect blending of African, Caribbean, Latin American, and jazz themes. The group formed in Amsterdam during 1980 and have released several excellent CDs.

There are nine original songs in the collection. Among them are "Franca Lucia," "Les yeaux des Tamashek," "Family Meetings," "Wakandi," and "Basekounou."
