Fans of the jazz piano will find a nice touch in the performances of Gilad Barkan, accompanied by Dan Greenspan on bass and Harvey Wirht on drums. This is a talented trio that swings, each performance an enjoyment to listen to. Barkan has his own compositions in this collection, and he also includes the work of Bill Evans, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, and James Van Heusen/Sammy Cahn. Among these eleven fine song performances are found "Caravan," "Waltz For Debby," "All My Tomorrows," "Dolphin Dance," "Affection," "Modulation," "Brazilian Suite #2," and "This Is Love." A topnotch trio, this group delivers good solid jazz performances with complex solo work. If you are looking for a fresh, innovative sound, the piano stylings of Gilad Barkan is a welcome change!
