This band will likely inject a bit of good-natured pandemonium into your mind’s eye. At times, they fuse an element of silliness with Zappa-like twists and turns, and pert doses of free jazz. An avant-rock unit, tinted with a sober side, the credits are more or less illegible, especially for these old and imperfect eyes. And I couldn’t find any personnel listings on the group’s rather spartanly constructed website.
They spoof radio, wet tee shirt contests, and techno thanks to one of the band member’s glib vocals. Overall, many of these works interweave into an asymmetrical program, whereas the band destroys anything that might resemble beauty. All in good fun, though, thanks to the musicians’ amiable demeanor and acute musicianship. Outings like this parallel these complex and rather turbulent times. But the music also mimics disparate art forms, where composers do their best to stretch the tried and true into escapades that push the proverbial envelope.
