You just never know where you'll find jazz. Tim Harrison's jazzgroup glean their version of jazz from famed poetess Emily Dickinson. This offers their vocalist Dee McMillen a platform upon which to ply her vibrant vocalise. The group tenders us a distinctive sound.........from the soft to the bittersweet......but their musical earthiness provides us the listener with artistic balance & variety nonetheless. We can only appreciate their efforts. The group explores the various veneers of jazz, varying from the abstract to a gentle melodicism, as they exploit gainfully, the originalsongs of Harrison..........This is definitely a pleasant departure from the norm.
