Rocksteady by Monty Alexander with Ernest Ranglin

Monty Alexander is always a delight to listen to. His piano stylings and techniques place him at the front of contemporary jazz pianists.

This very nice collection features 12 songs. Among them are "Confucius," "Stalag 17," "East of the River Nile," "Israelites," "Freedom Street," and "Redemption Song." Total playing time is 57:41 minutes.

We have come to expect the best from Monty Alexander, and he is in topnotch form in these performances. This CD collection should appeal to a wide audience with its fresh, innovative approaches. Very nice!
