Jazz vibraphonist Mark Sherman Calls his project 'The Motive Series' suggesting motivation, impulse, drive, inducement, et al..........And, with the likes of Sherman's sidemen, i.e. Michael Brecker-tenor, Allen Farnham-piano, Tim Horner-Traps, & Phil Palombi-bass, it is all of this! Their first offering, 'Nature Boy' is delivered with control and clarity, with a robust sizzle, animation, & much player enthusiasm. The whole group operates like a well honed machine, as they deploy their wide range of usable musical skills.
