IN AND OUT is a memorable encounter of contemporary jazz with blues motifs which only Carlos Johnson can do so well in his special way. The performances are excellent, and the solo work is superb.

There are eleven songs in this fine collection, some of them are originals by Carlos Johnson. Among the songs are found "Blues Man," "Leaving on the Next Train," "In & Out," "Lisa," "Do Do Do," and "Delta Blues."

This is another fine jazz entry from Southport Records. IN AND OUT sparkles with joy!

This is a CD to have in your home library to play often. Excellent production values.
