Kevin Mahogany Big Band by Kevin Mahogany

Kevin & I have one thing in common. We both loved & have worked with, as well as used the great arranging talents of one Frank Mantooth (RIP)........Big band arranger extraordinaire!! In this sense, we are soul brothers in that I too have a fine big band, & mine has become both a labor of love & catharthic passion for me to exploit. Kevin is also headed in the right direction with his current 'Kevin Mahogany Big band' disc in that the bands he puts forth, both The Frank Mantooth Jazz Orchestra, & The Kansas City Boulevard Big Band, are both crisp & consummate. Kevin's delivery of the jazz ballad "Dear Ruby' was richly voiced with the concentration that is only deliveredby one who has mastered his vocal technique.........All with his trademark of vocally enriching the sounds of the melodies he sings. Kevin's intuitive gift for a relaxed, technical, but natural vocal delivery creates a distinct original statement, demonstrating a certain natural flair for an innate artistic integrity.
