Here’s a fine budget priced sampler from NorthernBlues Music. The five-year-old Toronto company is owned and operated by a devoted blues fan. Fred Litwin jumped into the record business at the turn of the century and has never looked back. Litwin isn’t afraid to take chances on new artists and new ideas. He’s turned the fledgling outfit into one of the most adventurous on the scene.

It’s needless to say that this $7.98 sampler features the cream off the top of their recent releases. Future Of the Blues is the second promotional compilation in the firms short history. With the exception of the Brian Blain track which will release next month, all CDs have been reviewed here on JazzReview. Our onsite search feature will direct you to each of the featured albums.

The Future Of The Blues will hit the record shops on April 19. All blues fans will enjoy this fifteen- track compilation of acoustic, electric, traditional and cutting-edge blues. There’s even a bonus killer track by John & The Sisters that was just too long to fit on the original CD. There’s good blues tonight!
