Invisible is an excellent example of contemporary jazz interlaced with Brazilian, Latin, and World Music influences. It is a breath of fresh air with its innovative approaches in style and arrangments.
There are nine songs in the CD collection. The songs include "Adam's Dream,""Luz Del Sur," "Sobrevivencia,: "Hymn," "De Alma Y Sombra," "Malabarista," "Esperanza." "Manantial," and the wonderful gem of a song called "Tango Y Sangre De La Media Noche." This tango work has a running time of over nine minutes, and it is one of the most unusual works in this form of jazz genre you will come across in the last several years! Laura Hackstein is superb on violin.
All in all, this collection is very, very good, and it is something to suggest to friends. Every performance is topnotch.
Luis Munoz has a winner in his Invisible CD. If you have not heard of him before, this is a fine introduction. Luis Munoz is a gifted composer and master of different instruments; his keen sense of jazz, and what it is, comes across in a memorable fashion through his Invisible.
Pass the word along, this is a fine collection of jazz, and one to share with your friends. Highly recommended. A+ to the music and the performances! Those who like the use of strings in jazz settings will greatly enjoy Tom Etchart on acoustic bass and Chris Judge on classical guitars in the unique song, "Esperanza." Those who appreciate fine jazz organ performances will find delight in "Hymn," and listening to Jimmy Calire on Hammond organ.
Highly recommended. This is a top notch jazz recording in every way!
