DAN KASSELL, clarinetist whose influences are Pee Wee Russell and Jimmy Noone.
SHELTON GARY, drummer in the tradition of Count Basie's Joe Jones.
SUSAN FRIEND, singer, songwriter will sing New Years favorites.

Fresh from the excitement generated from the HOT BLUES & JAZZ BAND's appearance at New Years Eve for the Millennium at Il Valentino, the Fireworks on July 4th at Waterside Plaza and a few Labor Day parties at Ocean Beach, clarinetist Dan Kassell has gathered "Swing-Jazz" musicians for some New Years Eve jazz fun.
Swing Jazz tunes associated with New Orleans -- Louis Armstrong, "Jelly Roll" Morton; New York -- Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter; Chicago -- Eddie Condon, Hoagy Carmichael and Bix; American Swing -- Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman will be the musical fare.
