Canada Leads The Way For Tony Adamo

In November 2002, John Beaudin of, interviewed smooth jazz vocalist, Tony Adamo. That interview generated radio airplay in Canada and the U.S. for Adamo’s new CD, DANCE OF LOVE on Rhombus Records. Soon after, Peter North, music director of CKUA Radio Canada, started working Tony’s music into the station’s format. In March of 2003, Skyjazz Radio Canada made Adamo "New Artist Discovery of the Month" and started playing "Hey Lou," featuring Ernie Watts with Rodney Franklin.

Ted Hasiuk, one of Canada’s smooth jazz pioneers, contacted Adamo to submit his new CD, DANCE OF LOVE for airplay consideration. Ted is now playing the cut "When Love Comes Over You," on his Café Jazz Show, in Toronto. Jeff Charney, of KPRS Radio, Kansas City, MO recently did a live radio interview with Adamo to promote the song "Midnight Café," featuring Ernie Watts on his Sunday Brunch Show. "Midnight Café" was being played prior to the radio interview. Because of great listeners response this song was also added to Jeff’s show on KRNB Radio, Dallas, TX. Tony graciously thanks the smooth jazz listening audience for their support. Canada has been instrumental in leading the way for this exciting new American smooth jazz vocalist.
