Clare Teal, the stunning jazz vocalist signed to Candid Records, is the first individual artist to take out advertising space on Music Choice’s Jazz channel.
"I couldn’t believe that no one had done it before, it makes perfect sense to advertise in an environment that has exactly the audience I am trying to reach and it is such good value compared to conventional TV advertising rates".
Teal, who worked in the advertising trade before becoming a professional singer, released her debut album "That’s The Way It Is" for Candid records only last year and has already made a considerable impression on the jazz world. With a new album due out later this year and a seemingly never ending list of gigs, she obviously keen to find ways of raising her profile.
"I saw Music Choice at a friend’s house and noticed an advert for Ronnie Scott’s club and I thought, well if they can do it why shouldn’t I. I got my manager to speak to the Media Sales team at Music Choice and they couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s really great that they are letting individuals and small companies actually get their names on the TV."
Music Choice, which is available on Sky Digital, offer a huge variety of music channels including three dedicated to jazz. They carry no audio adverts and have no presenters or annoying DJs and claim to have one of the largest libraries of Jazz music in Europe.
