Dave Stryker to perform again at the MJA Jazz & Blues Fest

The MJA Jazz & Blues Fest. on Long Island, NY. Guitarist Dave Stryker to perform April 27th, 2002

Whether you've heard guitarist Dave Stryker fronting his own group (with twelve CD's as a leader to date), or as a featured sideman with Stanley Turrentine, Jack McDuff, and more recently Kevin Mahogany, you know why Gary Giddins in the Village Voice calls him "one of the most distinctive guitarists to come along in recent years". His approach combining the jazz burn to a soulful blues feeling is communicating to new fans wherever he plays.

Also performing will be Harold Danko, Artt Frank, jazz vocalist Nancy Monroe, David Alan Gross and the blues group Hooch and the Bluesicians. Showtime starts at 8:30 PM on April 27th, 2002 so don't miss this one. All tickets are $25.00 and can be ordered online or you can call 631 737-2244. The Event Centre is located in Lake Grove L.I. in the Sports Plus building, next door to the Smithhaven, Mall.
