Live In-Home Jazz Concerts in Brooklyn

Jim Morehand & Dave Polazzo began hosting semi-monthly (1st & 3rd Saturday of every month) jazz sessions in their home on February 23, 2002 in the double parlor of an 1850's Gothic Revival brick row house in Brooklyn's historic Ft. Greene/Clinton Hill/Wallabout district.  This area continues to be famous for its artists & musicians: the Late Betty Carter, Chris Rock, Spike Lee, trumpeter - Ahmed Abdullah, pianist-Ronnie Mathews, percussionist - Eric Frazier, artist - Danny Simmons, jazz vocalists Dave Coz & Mari Toussaint, ...among many others.  It is only fitting that a venue such as this should appear now that these historic districts have been experiencing a grand resurgence over the past three years.

Jim and Dave offer their home as a venue for jazz musicians to sing, jam and swing, surrounded by the contemporary works of art on display by NYC artists.   At ParlorJazz, In The Moment, you will meet and hear some of the best jazz musicians that NYC has to offer within an art filled atmosphere that is smoke-free and dedicated to bringing an acoustic jazz experience into the community.  The concerts run from 9:00 pm to 11:15 pm.  The hosts provide free refreshments to all guests and ask for a $10.00 suggested donation to help cover their costs.  August 3rd  will be our 10th  concert.
