Join us for an intimate afternoon of jazz, benefitting Saint Thomas Heart Institute which will feature Jeff Steinberg on piano. Jeff is the new conductor of the Nashville Symphony Pops Orchestra. He was musical arranger for the Glenn Miller Orchestra when Buddy DeFranco was leader. He also has arranged for the Maynard Ferguson Orchestra. Joining Jeff on vocals will be Benita Hill who received rave reviews from her recent New York and Houston, TX performances. Benita is also a gifted songwriter who as had three songs recorded by Garth Brooks. A former background singer for the Allman Brothers Band, has shared the stage with Boney James, Chuck Mangione, Kirk Whalum and Michael Franks. In addition to Benita, Teren Bose will add his heart-felt vocals to the program. Some of the highlights from Teren's career in jazz are live appearances with Diana Krall, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, and Manhattan Transfer. Teren has also provided the runway music for a "Banana Republic" fashion show as well as sold out shows at "Gibson's Caffe Milano".
