NATIONALLY RENOWNED JAZZ ARTISTS TO APPEAR AT SECOND ANNUAL INGLEWOOD FESTIVAL

Musicians: Freddie Ravel, Bobby Lyle, Phil Perry, Jeanette Harris, Eloise Laws, And Many More To Perform At Jazz In The Park, Which Takes Place During Labor Day Weekend.

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 15, 2004) - The South Bay Entertainment Group, in conjunction with the City of Inglewood Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services will host the 2nd annual Jazz In The Park festival during labor day weekend on September 4th and 5th at the amphitheater in Edward Vincent Jr. Park in Inglewood. The event will feature an all star line-up of popular jazz musicians such as Freddie Ravel, Phil Perry, Jeanette Harris, Eloise Laws, Bobby Lyles, Marion Meadows, Joyce Cooling, Karen Briggs and Hidden Beach Unwrapped Band.

The 2003 first annual South Bay Jazz Festival was attended by over 2000 enthusiastic fans and featured such celebrated contemporary jazz artists as Norman Brown, Wayman Tisdale, Everette Harp, Hiroshima, Gregg Karukas, and Rick Perkins. Good weather, good music, and good behavior marked the event, which was a source of civic pride for Inglewood residents who have long fought against negative stereotypes associated with the city.

With an expected attendance of more than 3,500 guests per day, this years crowd will be treated not only to an afternoon filled with live music but also a Festival Marketplace and an International Food Court. Without a doubt, this years festival promises to be the ultimate celebration of Inglewood’s cultural and artistic renaissance.

Ticket prices range from $30 to $100 and are available at Inglewood Tickets one of the premier African-American owned ticket agencies in the country. The Inglewood Police Department will provide event security, and parking will be provided at convenient lots located within walking distance of the amphitheatre. Additionally, shuttle busses will be available to attendees parking in the official festival lots.
