The mja Jazz & Blues Fest is coming to town

Long Island has had its share of musical events. But for the first time The mja Jazz & Blues Fest. will be held at the Event Center in Lake Grove, L.I, NY. Why is this festival so special? And how is it so different? Well lets say that the Event Center has never hosted a musical event of this nature. With jazz and blues opening up to new audiences all over the world, this event promises to be one of the greatest musical happenings of the 2002 year, says Michael J. Armando and August Fesler of mja Records. This Aprils jazz & blues event will be hosted by WPKN Radio announer, Phil Bowler. Some of the performers will be Dave Stryker who played with Jack McDuff's Group and also with Stanley Turrentine, Dizzy Gillespie and Freddie Hubbard, performing at all the major festivals, concert halls, and clubs throughout the world and has over 10 recordings under his belt. Also performing will be Nancy Monroe, Harold Danko, Artt Frank, David Alan Gross, Phil Bowler and Hooch and the Bluesicians. What a manifestation of positive energy and creative conceptual talent this festival will bring.

The Event Center is located at: 110 New Moriches Rd. in Lake Grove, L.I., right next door to the SmithHaven Mall off route 347 on Long Island.
