Tony Adamo & Ernie Watts Go #1 For 2nd Time

Singer/songwriter, Tony Adamo and two time Grammy Award Winner, Ernie Watts rocketed to the top of’s smooth jazz chart the 2nd time in one month with ‘Midnight Café,’ featuring Ernie Watts. This song has generated close to 7,000 downloads and streams just in one month at Watts’s soaring horn work and undeniable style blended with Adamo’s smooth and sensual voice blasted this Jerry Stucker produced song to #1 for the 2nd time. This breakout song is from Adamo’s new CD, DANCE OF LOVE on Rhombus Records. ‘Midnight Café’ first came to the radio listening audience’s attention, when Jeff Charney of Hot 103 KPRS radio of Kansas City, MO broke it on his Sunday Brunch Show. Because of ‘Midnight Café’s’ strong listener’s response, CIM Radio, New York City made DANCE OF LOVE Program Director’s pick.

At the end of August Adamo will be back at Different Fur Recording Studio, San Francisco, CA with Tower of Power great Skip Mesquite. Skip will be laying down the final funky horn line on ‘Groove Therapy’ written by Adamo & Jerry Stucker. Stucker will produce. Other Tower of Power greats, Stephen ‘Doc’ Kupka and Mic Gillette finalized their horn lines on ‘Groove Therapy’ in June. Mesquite’s new song ‘Back in the Day,’ was picked up by Tower of Power, recorded and added to their new release, OAKLAND ZONE on the OR Music label.
