Andrew Neu and a Stellar Cast Launch

Andrew Neu Andrew Neu
Saxophonist Andrew Neu has shared the stage with the likes of Sir Elton John, Peter Nero and The Philly Pops, Patti LaBelle, Melissa Manchester, Mel Torme, Malcom-Jamal Warner, The Four Tops and The Temptations, among others. This nationally acclaimed saxophonist, arranger and composer has also recorded with such names as Sister Sledge, Manhattan Transfer and jazz legend Buddy DeFranco. He has performed at the Newport, Bermuda, St. Croix, Mellon and Lake George jazz festivals and is a voting member of NARAS and the Grammy Awards.

Fueled by the critical success of his first album, Inspire, Andrew has just released his second CD, In Clear View, produced by bassist Brian Bromberg. Featuring performances by Jeff Lorber, Kevin Toney, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gerald Veasley, 'Doc' Gibbs and the Bright and Tight Horns, the melodic compositions flow seamlessly throughout the 15 tracks.

Having the chance to work with Bromberg was a natural fit for the saxophonist. "Working with Brian Bromberg as a producer enabled the songs to organically develop on their own. As a saxophonist, I wrote and envisioned the songs from a melodic perspective. Having a bass player step in and define the rhythm section’s voice really laid down the groove and textures of each piece," said Neu.
