Cheers for Children's at Panache JazzVolunteers in Philanthropy organizes second event to raise money for Children’s Hospital
MILWAUKEE, January 18, 2006 Volunteers in Philanthropy (VIP) a group of Milwaukee Young Professionals, has organized an event at Panache Jazz, on Thursday, January 26, 2006 from 6:00 PM -11:00 PM, to help raise awareness and funds for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
"Children's Hospital and Health System Foundation is proud to have the support of the YPM’s Volunteers in Philanthropy." Said Mary Kay Gundlach, Major Gifts Manager, Children's Hospital and Health System Foundation, "Through their Cheers for Children’s events, VIP has introduced many young professionals in our community to the phenomenal work of Children's Hospital and Health System while raising funds to support our mission."
The goals of this event are to raise at least $2000, educate people about Children’s Hospital and their programs, and get more people involved in this great cause.
"We are dedicated to supporting our community," said Erin Hackney, owner of Panache Jazz, "and I was excited when the VIP group approached us to sponsor their Cheers for Children's event."
The mission of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s (CHW) Volunteers in Philanthropy Board is to take a vested interest in Milwaukee young professionals by education and awareness of Children’s Hospital’s programs and services, while raising funds to help support them.
Volunteers in Philanthropy was founded in early 2005 by a group of Young Professionals of Milwaukee. The VIP group has united with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and is dedicated to their mission.About Children's Hospital of Wisconsin
