Concord Records Does a High-Five at 2005 Grammy Awards

Needless to say, Concord is still celebrating its tremendous night at the Grammys. Best Album of the Year, Best Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album of the Year and five additional awards bestowed on "Genius Loves Company" and the irreplaceable Ray Charles. To top it all, last week, they officially went certified triple-platinum!

Congratulations are also in order for their favorite LA band, Ozomatli. The boys took home the GRAMMY for Best Latin Rock / Alternative Album of Year for "Street Signs," beating out some very tough competition from the likes of Juanes. Ozo, who started as a make-shift collective to raise money for the LA Peace and Justice Center, celebrates its 10-year anniversary on April Fools Day. The band embarks on another whirlwind tour to make the event, making stops in Mexico City with Santana and Las Vegas for the BMI Awards. In May, they go on the road with Los Lonely Boys.
