NOMINATES CONCORD , TELARC AND HEADS UP
FOR SEVEN JAZZ AWARDS

June 11, 2007 Concord Records, Telarc International and Heads Up International, leaders in the jazz recording industry, scored seven nominations from the Jazz Journalists Association (JJA) for its 2007 Jazz Awards.
The JJA nominated more than 200 jazz musicians, recordings, labels, producers, concert presenters, authors, broadcasters, photographers and new media outlets for recognition of achievements in 2006-2007. Winners will be determined by a voting pool of approximately 400 JJA members. The eleventh annual awards ceremony will take place in New York City , date and place, to be determined.

Michael Brecker: Musician of the Year

"Michael Brecker is one of the most emulated saxophonists of the last 20 years," says Dave Love , President of Heads Up International. "He has single-handily brought forth a new group of young musicians to keep the art of jazz alive. His recognition by the critics for his achievements is a further testament to his influences amongst so many."
