Youman Wilder Joins Concert For Darfur

Popular singer Jazz/Soul Youman Wilder and Weird Stories have been added to the stellar line up for the concert for Darfur.

Wilder who has faced arrest for protest at the United Nations and Sudanese Embassy In New York will take the stage at either in New Jersey or Connecticut.

The All-star concert will take place throughout the United States and Canada.
Sponsored by the Web site the concert For Darfur will also include Ziggy Marley (Medford OR)

Wilder who has been on a musical upswing in the previous year will be closing shows in CT or Jersey and will also be on tour in Boston and St. Louis.
Wilder also has been getting serious flack from the right-wing Political blogs for his criticism on
President George Bush, and his handling of the War in Iraq and his inept response to the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast Region.

Wilder will be straying away from his R&B roots and melting more Jazz and Gospel textures to his upcoming show at the Temple Bar In Upscale Greenwich, CT.
He has invited the New Hope Baptist Choir to join him on his shows in both Connecticut and New Jersey,

Wilder and Weird Stories will be winding down a hectic year in which the New York Based Neo-Soul/Jazz Band performed over 270 shows including stops in Paris,Italy,Holland and Belgium.

The band recently returned to New York and did an SRO show at Kenny Castaways in New York's Greenwich Village.
