"Micic is bringing an intriguing new perspective to the jazz guitar" wrote Don Heckman in LA Times.
The album "3" has many compelling facets of Micic’s music, from its effortless ingenuity to his intelligent way of extending expectations in jazz. From the groove inspired "Dealin" to swinging "The World Doesn’t End" the music is never overpowering, but always imaginative and fresh. "Serbology", one of Micic’s more popular tunes, also features two Serbian percussionists playing traditional instruments, tarabuka and tapan. These instruments were made specifically for this session by a well known percussion maker in south of Macedonia.
"The New York jazz scene, and by extension jazz’s modern mainstream, has Rale Micic to thank for a portion of its continued growth" wrote Jim Santella in All About Jazz.
