The songs in the CD are a musical memory book for the saxophonist. "The song, "Sadie," was actually written in the car on my way to the studio. I created the entire song while driving down I-96 from Lansing, Michigan to Southfield, Michigan, where all of the tracks were recorded with my producer, Daron Steward. My daughter, Sadie, was about 7 months old when I wrote it. The CD is definately a collection of songs written purely from the heart," said Cunningham. "As soon as I heard the track for "Manchester Rd.," all it took was one take to come up with the melody. I don't think I've ever written a song where the melody came to me so easily. "St. Joe Park" was almost the same way. I used to play at St. Joe Park as a kid in my hometown of Lansing, Michigan. My siblings used to take me there to go ice skating and I eventually started my football career at this park," he said.
What the critics are saying about MANCHESTER ROAD:
"...sax that is smooth as smooth can be...smoky and almost sensuous in a dangerously delightful way."

"Cunningham's live performance is what sets the artist apart from most other solo instrumentalists. His gigs are an emotionally charged assault that one minute beckons audience members to their feet, as the saxman delivers inciting crescendo passages, and later lulls listeners into blissful serenity with tranquilizing, romantic sonics."
