Tony Adamo is Soul Funkin' at Studio Trilogy

Fred Harris, Urbanzone Productions

Los Angeles, California

Strokeland record artist, Tony Adamo and his guitarist/producer, Jerry Stucker, recently recorded at Studio Trilogy, San Francisco, California.  Stucker was at the recording helm with Justin Lieberman co-owner of Studio Trilogy, assisting.  Stephen "Doc" Kupka, co-founder of the super- funk group, Tower of Power, and Mike Clark of Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters were there to record on Adamo’s new CD release.   "Doc" Kupka laid down his legendary bari sax groove while Mike Clark added his kool struttin’ drumming to Adamo's nu-soul vocal cover of the Temptations hit, "The Way You Do The Things You Do."

Also on this new CD release you will hear Clark’s drumming and Kupka’s horn playing on Adamo's innovative and totally out rendition of the Tower of Power hit, "What Is Hip." "Doc" Kupka who co-wrote this tune with Emilio Castillo said the following:  "I love Tony’s version!  He evokes the beatnik-bongo days of my youth and gives a whole new slant to a hard-charging funk tune. Congrats to both Tony Adamo and Jerry Stucker!"
