Brass Impact! are one of Scotland’s most dynamic jazz ensembles, offering a unique presentation of big band jazz that is new, and exciting.
Our unique sound comes from the use of non-traditional big band instruments such as 'forward facing' baritones (providing the trombone voice) and the very distinctive mellophones, which produce a sound similar to that of the mellophoniums used by the Kenton Orchestra in the early 1960's.
