San Francisco Bay area vocalist Natasha Miller recently started singing songs written years ago by Bobby Sharp, such as Ray Charles' hit "Unchain My Love," in her live performances. When Sharp, 81, who had been off the music scene for years, heard about this, he sent her a treasure trove of songs he had stored away. She loved them and immediately added them to her repertoire, even inviting Sharp to join her at her singing engagements. This garnered new popularity for her and the composer, resulting in a CD release by Miller, singing his songs. At this year's MJF, they appeared together to a standing ovation.
